UWC Peru follows a thorough and well-rounded selection process to identify motivated and talented young individuals who align with UWC’s values and mission.

1. Application stage
The first step in the selection process is submitting an application. At this stage, the documents submitted by applicants up to the deadline indicated in the call for applications will be evaluated. Only those who have provided all required documents within the established deadlines and who meet the application requirements will be invited to the next stage.
2. Selection stage
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a multi-step selection process, which typically includes:
- Tests and Written Assessments: These may assess logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Virtual Group Activities: Candidates engage in collaborative problem-solving tasks and discussions to assess teamwork, leadership, and adaptability.
- Individual Interviews: A panel interview where applicants discuss their motivations, aspirations, and alignment with UWC’s values.
3. Nomination stage
After selections, the National Committee nominates the most promising candidates for placement at UWC schools and colleges. Successful applicants will:
- Receive an offer for a UWC placement, which may be fully or partially funded depending on demonstrated need (all applicants will be requested to submit financial information to this effect).
- Have the opportunity to accept or decline the nomination.
- Complete necessary paperwork and preparations for enrollment.

Important
- All stages of the selection process are eliminatory; that is, only applicants selected by the Selection Committee will advance to the next stage.
- The scores assigned during the stages of the selection process will be known only to the UWC Peru Selection Committee. No scores will be revealed to the applicants.
- All communications from UWC Peru to applicants regarding results and instructions for the stages of the process will be sent via email. In the pre-registration form, each applicant is responsible for providing a correct and active email address and for checking their inbox and spam folder frequently to stay up to date with official UWC Peru communications. UWC Peru is not responsible for missed or late-read messages.
- Applicants must submit the requested information and/or respond to participation confirmations during the selection process within the indicated deadlines. Applications submitted after the deadlines will not be considered, and the applicant will be excluded from the process.
- Young people participating in the selection process are applying to the UWC movement, not to a specific UWC school. UWC Peru nominates the selected applicants to one of the UWC schools based on their qualities, personal characteristics, and the available opportunities (scholarships/places). However, the final admission decision rests with each UWC school..
Pre UWC
Once all stages of the selection process have been completed, students nominated and accepted by UWC schools must participate in the Pre-UWC Preparation Program, which is carried out in the months prior to their departure to prepare them comprehensively to face challenges and make the most of the opportunities they will find at UWC schools. Participation in this program is mandatory and exclusive for selected students. More information about the Pre-CMU will be provided in due course once the selection process has been completed.
